David Mortimer brings over 20 years of experience to his company as both a seasoned studio publicity executive who has overseen national film campaigns and a personal publicist who has focused on Directors, Writers, Producers, Showrunners, and Production Companies.

Prior to launching his own shingle, David was Vice President at ID where he first managed the publicity campaigns of filmmaker clients Gray, Wan, Stahelski, and Leitch, as well as Pulitzer Prize-winner James Lapine (Into The Woods), producer Pam Williams (Lee Daniels’ The Butler), John and Drew Dowdle (No Escape, As Above So Below), and best-selling authors Veronica Roth (the Divergent series), Kody Keplinger (The Duff), and Ransom Riggs (Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children).
Additionally, he managed Corporate Publicity for EuropaCorp (Transporter: Refueled, Valérian), Endgame Entertainment (Freeheld, Self/less), Material (Tobey Maguire’s production company), and Bold Films (Whiplash, Nightcrawler, No Escape).
At ID, David also spear-headed the theatrical release campaigns for Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Spring Breakers, Under The Skin, Rudderless, Some Velvet Morning, and Byzantium. At various festivals, he oversaw campaigns for Love & Mercy, Desierto, A Beautiful Now, Sleeping with Other People, Before We Go, Pawn Sacrifice, The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, Under the Skin, Rudderless, The Voices, and Fishing Without Nets. He managed the publicity for Nightcrawler during production.
David had a more than decade-long run at Warner Bros. Pictures, where he oversaw the theatrical publicity campaigns for a range of projects including the Harry Potter franchise, Man Of Steel, Sex and the City 2, The Blind Side (Academy Award® win for Sandra Bullock), The Conjuring, Crazy Stupid Love, Rock of Ages, Dolphin Tale, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Lucky One, New Year’s Eve, Joyful Noise, and Michael Clayton (Academy Award® win for Tilda Swinton). He was also intricately involved in campaigns for films including Happy Feet (Academy Award® win for Best Animated Picture), 300, Get Smart, Watchmen, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2 Academy Award® nominations), Terminator Salvation, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Superman Returns, Miss Congeniality 2, Insomnia, and Scooby Doo 1 & 2.
At Block-Korenbrot Public Relations, David was involved in campaigns for Laurel Canyon (as unit publicist), Dogtown and Z-Boys, and the Academy Award®-winning foreign language film, No Man’s Land.
David served as full time unit publicist on Clockstoppers directed by Jonathan Frakes starring Jesse Bradford as well as The Sweetest Thing directed by Roger Kumble starring Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate, Selma Blair and Thomas Jane.
As an executive at New Line Cinema, David worked on the campaigns for Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Magnolia (3 Academy Award® nominations), The Bachelor, The Cell, The Astronaut’s Wife, Fifteen Minutes, Blow, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Bamboozled.
While a Sr. Publicist at Bumble Ward and Associates, David was instrumental in the west coast PR campaigns for Magnolia, Boogie Nights (3 Academy Award® nominations), Pleasantville (3 Academy Award® nominations), The Apostle (Academy Award® nomination for Robert Duvall), and Jackie Brown (Academy Award® nomination). He also worked with filmmakers including Kevin Williamson, Clive Barker, and Roger Kumble.
A graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara with a double major in Film Studies and English, David began his career working at the Santa Barbara Film Festival which ultimately led to his first agency job at Baker Winokur Ryder in Los Angeles.
David is an avid fan of theatre in New York, Los Angeles, and London, and is an active supporter of The Trevor Project and HRC.
